Ethical Trading Policy

Introduction:

Panaz Ltd is a textile design and manufacturing company specialising in the supply of flame retardant drapery and upholstery materials for the international contract market. Panaz is totally committed to producing and supplying products and services of the highest quality to all its clients, and specifically to comply with ethical trading requirements for those products. To help achieve this we shall comply with both employment and human rights legislation and encourage, where practicable, our key suppliers to ensure their relevant national employment legislations are upheld.

Objective:

Our Labour Standards Assurance System is designed to work in line with the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code.

Scope:

Panaz Ltd is applying this policy and related procedure (ISO Procedure 9001:2015) to all the products and services it procures in the course of its business.

Labour Standards

Panaz Ltd is committed to all Labour Standards as defined by EU and UK Law.

Panaz Ltd also adheres to the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code, specifically: -

  1. Employment is freely chosen
  2. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected
  3. Working conditions are safe and hygienic
  4. Child labour shall not be allowed
  5. Living wages are paid
  6. Working hours are not excessive
  7. No discrimination is practised
  8. Regular employment is provided
  9. No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed

Panaz Ltd expects and demands that all its suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors involved in the manufacture and supply of products and services as detailed in “Scope”, where appropriate, are committed to upholding all labour standards as defined by local laws. Failure to do will result in a requirement to put in place the remedial action to comply with local laws, or the cessation of supply of that product from that supplier.

This policy forms part of the ISO Procedure 9001:2015 and will be reviewed in line with all ISO procedures.
